Master Eric Madis 4th Dan

Eric Madis' martial arts study began with Goju-ryu in 1964 in Denver under Frank Goody of the American Budo College and in 1965 at the Northglenn Judo Club.  He has studied Aikido under Gakku Homma (Denver) and Bruce Bookman (Seattle).  Eric began training in Tang Soo Do and Tae Kwon Do in 1982 under Jung Kil Kim (dan #123).  He has also studied TSD under Jae Joon Kim (dan #38), Jung Lee, Mike Shintaku, Eric Kim and Robert L. Davis.  Eric received his 1st and 2nd dan (#15710) from GM Jae Joon Kim and is presently a 4th dan under Dennis McHenry and J.R. West of the US Korean Martial Arts Federation.  Mr. Madis is the senior instructor and founder of Tang Soo Do Moo Ji Hwe (Martial Wisdom Association) in Shoreline, WA, where he has taught since May, 1992.  Eric is also a published martial arts historian.  He lives in Seattle, WA with his wife Eileen and son Alika.
